Cultural Paradigms
Traveling through different parts of my country allowed me to know their customs, traditions, and social behavior. Each town I visited had its social norms or customs that had to be respected. Some seemed out of place to me because they were not allowed to go beyond what they had already achieved. I lived in a neighborhood that surrounded him with many paradigms, my father always said "The one who was born to be fat even if they wrap him up", or "some are born with stars and others with stars" when I asked him for an explanation of his sayings, they did not leave me convinced is it possible that we will never get out of our economic condition? Or if I was born with few academic skills, would I not be successful?
they were paradigms that they brought from their ancestors.
When I knew the gospel of Jesus Christ, I was still very young, I still received instructions that encouraged me to achieve all the things I wanted if they were good, such as education, develop talents that allow me to be self-sufficient and achieve success through hard work, that each of we as children of God has divine intelligence to be able to be people of positive influence.
Paradigms as established norms for coexistence in a society can be good, but when it is in charge of limiting our progress, it is no longer good, there it is time to break paradigms.
We should not allow any act of not valuing our person, whether we are men, women, or children, race, color, or social condition because if we do it not only affects us but for future generations.

The culture phrases determine some behaviors and they create some barriers to achieve some goals and some phrases are unpolite and in Mexico, we had one phrase "Aunque la mona se vista de seda, mona se queda" the meaning for this expressions is very rude and unpolite because it means if your ugly no matter what you wear you still ugly. The gospel brings us the opportunity to change these expressions to have a positive influence on others.
ResponderBorrarwe have the opportunity to change these paradigms from our home to the community around us and start a new society as Sion free from everything that affects the growth of a person: negative phrases, racial, social or gender discrimination.
BorrarHi. This kind of paradigm that limits us from achieving something beyond what we are now should be eradicated because it could affect our perception of our present and future. It is a barrier and hindrance to pursue our goals. I think they should consider at looking at a different perspective and look for something that would encourage success.
